It's all about the details...

I’m often asked when to schedule a session, and I think it depends on each Bride. For some, it’s important to have a Bridal portrait on display as their guests arrive, and if that is important to you I would suggest scheduling your portrait as soon as possible. The dress doesn’t need to fit perfectly you can always finish alterations after the session. This is also a perfect time to do a trial run on your hair, makeup and sometimes your florist will do a complimentary mock-up of your wedding bouquet.

Another option is to do your Bridal Portrait after the wedding. These are often referred to as “trash the dress” sessions.  Not that my intention is to “trash” your dress… but more than likely your wedding gown attracted not only the attention of your guests as you walked down the isle and danced the night away… but it also attracted a little dirt too. I recommend before your clean your gown and box up your wedding dress years to come… why not go out on location and get some amazing portraiture.
